The Bloodfist orcs are a small tribe of orcs lead by Kromaz. The tribe has a strange agreement with several small groups of humans along the Belkzen/Lastwall border. As such, when they found a spring that provided them with strength in combat, and their shaman with interesting visions. They settled there. Now they defend the spring from invaders.
Kromaz was already considered a bit of a strange ruler to his tribe before settling at the spring. He’d taken a human mate on the suggestion of his shaman. This first provided Faydra, a half-elf female. At the time, his brother Barabus was constantly challenging him for rule of the tribe. Then, Kromak was born. Barabus insisted that the girl be slain and fed to the new male. Kromak’s shaman said that if left alive, the girl would grow into a powerful witch, and return to the tribe at a time of need. So Kromaz took the child to the forest near the human lands and left her there.
Eventually, they settled. Barabus’s hatred of humans and elves made his suspicions of Kromak becoming warlord worse. Eventually he challenged Kromak and Kromaz to combat. Thinking his planned shaman replacement, Murshophan could secretly help him with the fight. Murshophan was only able to keep Barabus from dying to the father and son duo, and the two escaped combat with their lives. Now they lead the Shadowfists.
